Firenze

The Thursday after Cinque Terre (the 13th), we took a trip to Florence. I love Florence! It is smaller than Rome but bigger than Siena. We went to two museums. The second one was the Academia, which has Michelangelo's David in it. It is so impressive in person! The details he was able to carve in a piece of marble is incredible. Again way more impressive in person. Also the Duomo is stunning! I can't believe how big it is! We went up it this past weekend but that's another entry. Now for some pictures.

I wish pictures could capture how massive the Duomo is.

Some awesome girls from my group :)

She makes a good mummy

A real mummy!!

The people in the other humanities class had to take notes while I just messed around with my camera and the other girls :)

Pictures are forbidden but I got a quick one!

The museums were interesting. The Academia had some really famous and amazing works in it but pictures are not allowed. This trip to Florence we didn't get to see that much of it. We were in museums most of the day and didn't explore much. This past weekend we spent two days in Florence and we got a better feel for the city. I will blog about it soon.
