Ciao i miei cari!

Can't believe I am leaving in a month and a half... So close yet so far away.
Am I at all ready? Um not even close. I have my passport and that's about it.
Am I excited? You bet I am. Still doesn't feel real quite yet.
Anyway this blog was created for all my friends and family who are interested in what I'm up to on my little adventure. I will post lots and lots of pictures, recipes and stories of the many adventures I plan on having.
I can not even begin to express my gratitude to all those who helped turn my dream into a reality. One of my bucket list items is to live in another country and learn as much as I can about the culture by living like the locals do. And to learn some of that culture through cooking and enjoying food with the locals. I can't believe I can cross this off my bucket list at 19! Thank you all who helped me get there (especially my amazing parents and my incredible extended family) and to those who got just as excited as I am about the trip with me. I love you all.
P.S. I adore everything in this picture. Hopefully I can look this cute over there and ride on a vespa with some saucy Italian man.
